About The Skills Development Scotland Funding (Modern Apprenticeship)

Cairn Training (Aberdeen) Ltd holds a contract with Skills Development Scotland (SDS) to train modern apprentices each year. It should be noted that this funding only applies to those wishing to undertake their SVQ level 3. We have funding available throughout the year for the following age groups:

• 16-19 years
• 20-24 years
• 25+

The 20-24 years and the 25+ is very popular and often fills up fast so please get in touch with any training requirements as soon as you can.

About City and Shire Council Funding

Cairn Training is an approved training provider for Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council.  We deliver SVQ opportunities on behalf of the Councils; supporting training and development of Early Learning and Childcare Staff.  We deliver SVQ 2, 3, and 4 for the Councils.  Each Council operate their own application processes and assignment of a provider to a candidate is at the Councils discretion.  The Shire Council application page can be found here: Request childcare training - Aberdeenshire Council The City Council launch their applications annually, usually in May.

About Self-Funding and SAAS

Anyone who does not qualify for the other two funding options or wishes to self-fund their own qualification can do so with Cairn Training. We offer a competitive price and are flexible to payment options which suit the individual. SAAS funding can also be applied for to help towards the cost. Please contact us for more details.
